As a Contract Fixer at FXRY, you will play a crucial role in combating fashion waste by providing high-quality alterations and repairs. You'll utilize your expertise in sewing and tailoring to extend the life of garments, contributing to our mission of sustainable fashion.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Perform a variety of alterations and repairs on garments including denim, silk, sweaters, stretch fabrics, cotton, and more.
• Work with your own advanced sewing machinery to ensure precise and durable fixes.
• Collaborate with the founder, fixers, and other staff to meet the company's high standards of craftsmanship.
• Manage sewing projects from start to finish, including pickup, repair, and delivery to our South Seattle studio.

We'd Love to Hear from You if You Have:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in sewing, tailoring, or related fields.
• Proficiency in both hand and machine sewing, including the use of sergers and industrial sewing machines.
• Robust skills in repairing various types of fabrics, from silk to denim.
• A home setup equipped with sewing machinery suited to professional-quality repairs.
• A commitment to ethical practices, high standards of craftsmanship, and a passion for sustainable fashion.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, client-focused approach.
